Reflection on Christmas Day C2012

CHRIST MISSED OUT AT CHRISTMAS

The amazing thing about Christmas story is that though it started out of quiet beginning, heard of by the world’s bound, it surprisingly never stops of being retold.  It becomes the measure of time, the heart of human history, it colours the surface and space.

Even the noise and the emptiness of worldly things innovate their versions of recalling Christmas story.  Non-believers as well express their denial of Christmas by taking off from work and go on holidays.  Nothing really escapes the influence of that Holy Night event.

Christmas becomes everyone’s story, the most misinterpreted one by many.  There’s a reason, a divine reason for its recurring in time again and again.  It is that we who know its true value and purpose may live and share not the wrappings but the spirit that wraps the story of Christmas.

May Christ not be missed out on Christmas so that its innovated empty and wasteful celebration turns to be pure and redeeming remembrance of what He has done.

MALIGAYANG PASKO PO SA LAHAT!  Amen.
