Gospel Reflection for the 13th Sunday OT B2012

The woman is without a name, extremely exhausted and desperately left out.  Only one thing remains:  the desire to get well, a strong and stable flame of faith in her soul.  This leads her to what she really longs for; Jesus.

The little and very promising girl is made helpless and hopeless by her sickness.  She expires in life but not her father who humbles himself by sacrificing human honour and embraces Jesus in faith.  And she comes back to life.

Two stories that depict the extremely difficult human condition, reducing human life to complete misery and to an un-understandable tragedy.  Jesus comes along in all calmness and in full awareness of what the human hearts aspire for.  On time and in time He stretches out His hands to restore the human person back to its divine and the only proper image.

Both are perfectly healed and restored by Jesus of their faith.  Amen.
